Sealy and Stearns & Foster mattresses should not be used with bunkie boards, plywood or untreated wood surfaces, traditional box springs or non-TSI branded foundations, or placed directly on the floor. Using unapproved support systems may affect mattress performance and warranty coverage.
The following support systems are not approved for use with Sealy and Stearns & Foster mattresses:
- Bunkie boards
- Plywood or untreated wood surfaces
- Traditional box springs or non-TSI branded foundations. While some box springs may appear similar to a Sealy or Stearns & Foster foundation, their internal construction is different. Any non-TSI branded box spring or foundation with a grid-pattern surface is considered unapproved. We cannot verify the quality or support provided by third-party box springs or foundations.
- Placing the mattress directly on the floor
Using an unapproved support system may affect mattress performance and could impact warranty coverage.
